Modeling of industrial facilities based on data from terrestrial laser scanning

Summary:

Modern measurement technologies such as laser scanning provides infor-mation about the reality that surrounds us in the form of point clouds. However, the information about the geometry of the objects stored in this form is often impractical from the point of view of the recipient. Therefore, it is necessary converting point clouds to vector models supported by CAD software. This paper presents the applicability and use some 3D modeling tools available in the software Leica Cyclone, as well as the accuracy of the fitting obtained geometry in the point clouds.
