Geodetic methods of lanslides monitoring

Landslides in the geological aspect can be active for many years. There is a need to keep monitoring stability of slope, especially if there are some buildings located on the landslide. Such monitoring can be done with the use of geodetic methods. In the article there are presented possible geodetic techniques which are used in practice and new one, not used up to now- ground radar interferometer technique. This technique allows for spatial measurement without the points stabi-lization on the landslide and gives the information about displacements values of the chosen area of measured landslide. ...

Geodetic survey line course of gas pipeline

Measuring the course of the gas network is possible using surveying. They make it possible to obtain sufficiently accurate results for the possibility of moni-toring the movements of the gas main, especially in the landslide areas. In planning the appropriate series frequency of testing, we can predict the displacement on what it is exposed, and in what period of time. Thanks to this professionals from the scope of strength of materials can calculate the deformation and strength of materials. This gives the possibility to obtain an approximate lifetime, exposed to damage, the gas main and take appropriate action before the damage becomes a fact. Damage to any gas main network extends as a threat to the environment. It also forms an obstruction to the existence of the population to which the transfer is interrupted, especially where, as in the case in question is a strategic network of supplying high pressure gas to Podhale. In the publication discusses the results of measurements and calculations for a line of high pressure gas pipeline DN 300 g in Borzęta, in the municipality Myślenice. Studied section of the pipeline is located within the newly established, clearly visible landslides. The object was measured by standard methods ...

Analysis of angle-linear observation in aspect of a landslide terrain deformation determination

The aim of thesis was to determine horizontal ground deformation based on angular and linear measurements of a special surveying construction. This construction, a rectangular measurement rosette, has been fixed at the threatened of landslide movements area, at Milówka commune. In the project there were presented basis information about determining linear deformations and landslide movements. There was also presented a method of fixing surveying points and a measurement technology used in described re-searches. In the next parts of work there were listed results of various variants of measurements adjustment. On this basis, there were determined deformations, which were shown in a tabular and graphical form. There were made an accuracy analysis, which helped in evaluation of received results. ...

Researching landslide dynamics with geodetic methods

The paper presents methodics of investigation surface movements of a landslide, detected with geodetic methods, in classic and modern approach. Geodetic methods of landslides investigation resolve themselves into periodic observations of control points established on landslide`s surface and beyond it`s limits. The aim is to achieve vectors of displacement and related velocities. For observations of slow creeping motions static GPS technique, electronic tacheometry of high accuracy and precise levelling are proposed. Fast changing processes (earthflow, soilflow) require different methods, like RTK GPS with simultaneous participation of few receivers ...

DETERMINATION OF THE INFLUENCE OF BUILDING MASS ON LANDSLIDE FORMATION USING UNMANNED AERIAL SYSTEMS

Following the torrential rain and floods that occurred between 1997 and 2010, there has been an emergence of new and previously activated processes related to soil and rock landslides in the Polish Carpathians. In light of the damage incurred by landslides, there is a problem with the thorough diagnosis of the nature of phenomena and thus the development of methods to prevent landslides in the future. This article discusses the problem of surveying landslide areas. It highlights the possibility of using photogrammetric methods for digital imaging, as well as determines the dimensions when estimating the mass of buildings within the area of a landslide, with particular emphasis on the use of an unmanned aerial system (UAS). The described method for obtaining processing images involves a non-metric camera mounted on a UAS. The designed projections centre on individual images and elements of angular orientation and the camera interior. This enables the creation and texturing of a triangulated irregular network (TIN) model. The final result in this work is a digital surface model (DSM) and an orthophotomap. It was found that characteristic land types have been occurring in the landslide substrate with key parameters determining their properties. This enabled the determination of ...
