Elaboration of architectural objects using methods of digital photogrammetry

The paper presents application of different digital photogrammetry tech-niques in elaboration of architectural objects. To obtain this aim photos made with non-metric camera, semi-metric camera and also aerial photos were used. As examples following objects were used: monumental Manor House in Mydlniki, Lubomirski Palace in Niezdów and the part of Miechów town. Elaborations were performed on digital autograph VSD and on digital photogrammetric station Delta, and visualization was made in AutoCad program.     ...

Digital camera Canon EOS 400D calibration with use of PI 3000 Calib so-ftware

The paper above presents the possibility of application of free version of PI 3000 Calib Topcon software to perform calibration of digital cameras. Investiga-tions were performed with use of Canon EOS 400D. Photos were made using con-stant focus objectives Canon 50mm f/1.4 and Sigma 20mm f/1.8. Without buying expensive specialistic camera calibration software it is possible to apply digital cameras in photogrammetric elaborations, especially in architecture objects in-ventarisation and their further 3D visualisation. ...

Application of orthophotomap and digital terrain model for presentation of changes in ways of agricultural land use

Interest in orthophotomap and Digital Terrain Model, not only in Polandbut also in many European Union countries, results from works associated withestablishing a uniform Geographic Information System. Availability of orthophotomap- its presence in internet geoportals - causes that it is used for many purposes. The paper presents possibility of using orthophotomap and DTM to evaluatechanges in the way of agricultural land use, for example, the surroundings ofwater reservoir Domaniów. Orthophotomaps made at various periods of time, based on aerial photographs of 1:26000 scale (panchromatic and color) were usedfor this purpose. Application of various computer techniques allowed the visualizationof the DTM and graphical representation of changes occurring at the presentedsite. ...

Surveying and visualization of architectural objects prepared on the basis of metric and non-metric photos

The surveys of architectural objects are performed in a variety of meas-urement techniques. Among them photogrammetric methods based on high-quality images taken with digital non-metric cameras and used for years metric cameras are very important in recent years. The paper presents the application of Canon EOS 400D camera and camcorder UMK 10 to survey completely different architectural objects. They are the modern building at the University of Agriculture in Krakow belonging to the Geodesy and Cartography Faculty and the both historic and destroyed buildings belonging to the grange unit in Mściwojów complex, in Lower Silesia. To produce architectural vector drawings, digital photogrammetric stations Delta and DEPHOS were used, as well as a digital autograph VSD. ...

Evaluation of application of lidar and photogrammetric data integration for generating DTM for Chańcza water reservoir area

Continuous development of geoinformatic technics increases the demand for up-to-date and precise data describing the terrain configuration. Application of the digital photogrammetry enables connection and analysis of data obtained by different methods. The paper presents possibility of integration of data obtained from airborne laser scanning, and from aerial photos made by DMC digital camera for generating DTM for Chańcza water reservoir area . On investigated area five representative test areas were determined, and for them an experiment connected with height analysis and integration of photogrammetric and lidar data was performed. Test areas included : agricultural areas (arable fields) - flat area, built-up area with roads network, terrain of diverse vertical configuration, affore-sted area, and river valley.Integration of lidar and photogrammetric data requires input to the project on photogrammmetric digital station DELTA, text files containing DTM in GRID structure generated in TerraScan and analysis the accuracy of these two methods integration. Analysis was performed for mentioned above test areas taking into account determined during investigations lengths of triangle sides (2 m, 15 m, 45 m, 70 m) during GRID generation by the method of triangulation. ...

DTM and DSM errors resulting from automatic classification of a cloud of points which originate from aerial laser scanning using Terrascan software

Key problem in processing data originating from airborne laser scanning is filtration understood as a procedure of elimination of all points which do not belong to specific surface in measured cloud of points. It enables determination of topographic surface course, that is determine DTM. Preliminary classification is usually performed automatically with use of various algorithms for automatical filtration of laser scanning data. Depending on used program exist possibilities of such filtration correction through manual classification. In the paper analysis of automats applied in classification of cloud of points originating from airborne laser scanning on example of TerraScan program. Results obtained using automates with different parameters were compared, and the most often appearing errors DTM and DSM were taken into consideration. Investigations were performed on data originating from the airborne laser scanning performed in 2011, containing a part of Silesia Voivodship. The scanning was performed from a plane using LMS-Q680i scanner with the average height of flight about 850 meters, and the flight was proceeded in two directions: north-south, and east-west with transverse scanning angle respectively 25 and 30 grades. Average density of scanning in single flight came to 6 points on a square meter. ...

Application of nonmetric camera in modelling of small architecture objects

3-D technics have been used in architectonic object visualisation for many years with success. Only the tools which enable gaining the information about the object - change, as well as the tools which enable creation of the 3-D models of the objects. The paper shows possibility of application of photographs made by non-metric camera, in 3-D modelling of objects of small architecture, which was the Krakow roadside shrine. The model was created in two different ways. Hereunder the methods are presented: very complicated photogrammetric method, and the simple one using easy to access and simple in handling Freeware tool. The first method needs the adaptation of non-metric camera to photogrammetric survey. It requires performing of autocalibration of non-metric camera, and next taking metric photographs with it and processing them on digital autograph VSD. This, enabled to gain the full metric model of the object under the study. The second method based on taking with the same camera corner photographs of the shrin, and next using them - modelling the object in one of the freeware software available in the Internet. In the paper the two methods are being compared, and the 3-D models of the shrine are described ...

PRESENTATION OF DIGITAL TERRAIN MODELS OF AGRICULTURAL AREAS USING LIDAR DATA

Digital photogrammetry is one of the intensively developing areas of technical sciences. Increasing participation in the surveying works have digital devices and solutions giving new possibilities in creation of the appropriate map elements and models as well. A particular role to play has the laser scanning technology allowing to present surveyed space or area in the 3D form. Digital Terrain Models for agricultural areas obtained on its basis may be presented in different ways using professional software.Due to the fact, that in recent years almost the entire Poland was covered with laser scanning, collecting information about the Earth's surface in the form of a cloud of points with high accuracy is a relatively fast process and the results of their elaboration are widely used in many fields. The paper presents the methods of Digital Terrain Models visualization of agriculture areas for three different objects created on the basis of data derived from airborne laser scanning. The study included agricultural locations - two of them (Strzelce Wielkie and Kamionka Wielka) located in the Malopolskie Voivodship, the third - Mątowy Wielkie in Pomorskie Voivodship, in Żuławy. DTM visualizations were prepared in Macrostation, Terrasolid and Surfer 10 software. For the Mątowy Wielkie object ...
