The analysis of the grade of the perception of landscape of mountainous villages – attempt of assessment

The valorization of the landscape is an assessment of the resources and the composition. The final effect is an image of the potential. The other view is the issue of the level and quality of perceiving, i.e. whether and how the existing form of landscape is being perceived. It is crucial and important aspect because even wealthy content or form of the landscape - when it is unclear or weak perceived does not take an interest in. A step, a level of the identification of characteristic features of the opened landscape are a main line of enquiry of village localized in a mountain range which after the Polish side is well-known as Złote High notes, but on the Czech side - as Rychlebske Hory. Get scores are pointing, that - the best to identify is perspective of view and the worst - the line of border between rural and forest usage of the terrain. Clearly an arrangement of fields and a gravity of the receipt of the landscape are perceived by the receptor of the hearing, the touch or smells, - during the sunny weather - better spot elements of the landscape are being read out and a greater need ...

The landscape of mountainous village – attempt of estimate the perception forms of components

The landscape expresses historical changes, and what is more, it can be an icon of certain place. If the components and their forms can not be identified the effects of valorisation define only the potential. Results of the research have given the answer for the question: how clear are the components. However the form is also an issue, that is how the configuration of components is perceptible. Compo-nents configuration characteristic shows that this certain landscape is not homo-geneous with spatial forms of woodlands and shrubs. Additionally the way of changing the usage from forest to agricultural exists in variety of forms. Structural analysis of segments which determine the level of forms percep-tion, shows, that the level of identification depends on weather conditions. Percep-tion is more unequivocal with sunny weather. The fact that building objects do not deform the landscape, and what is more they create a certain spatial order whit other components, is considered as an important attribute. Within contemporary expansion of maladjusted to local architectural forms on agricultural area, this phenomenon is a positive evidence of local agricultural landscape. ...

Transformation of character of village in Eastern Sudety Mountains

The issue is the level and type of divergence between its initial form, found by settling population in years 1945-1947, and temporary form of Eastern Sudety countryside. Analyzes show that the whole non-material sphere of cultural envi-ronment has disappeared and the former identity was something new, unknown, for the population with different ethnic background. If it had existed, the degree of population and place cohesion was minimal. There were some, but impoverished bases to create new reality. If we take into consideration the lack of coordination in resources - challenge interaction, additionally with the pressure of external factors, the final effect is the weakening or even disappearance of initial potential. In real it means liquidation of some villages and when the threshold of structures balance is crossed - the domination of foreign objects with shapes not fitted to the local architecture style. The process creates an unknown pattern with hard to define new identity. ...

Formulating spatial policies for a health resort municipality

A study of the conditions and directions of spatial management of a mu-nicipality is one of the most important planning documents prepared at a local level. As an instrument for creating the spatial policy it is the initial document to formulate the local law. It constitutes an act of guidance, defining the planning in-tentions of the municipal authorities, and therefore its findings must be unambigu-ous, legible and understandable. The subject of this analysis is such study of Lądek Zdrój, a municipality in the province of Lower Silesia. The document turns out to contain much ambiguity. The authors use concepts that are incomprehensible, undefined and often mislead-ing. Provisions of the study are not clear enough to allow their transfer to local law. There is therefore a possibility that there might be no correlation between the analyzed study, and the future legal acts prepared at a lower level. ...

Health resort but the rural area – complementarity or separation

Existing advantages of health resort Ladek Zdroj is huge capital for devel-opment of new branches of tourism. Current functioning of system, where the pri-ority has medical tourism, must change its meaning. The type of potential and forecasted trends of healthcare shows that recreational tourism should be main factor determining progress. Its scope covers both agricultural tourism and health resort tourism, where consumer is both person only residing in health re-sort and person utilizing its infrastructure (no matter whether for health regenera-tion or physical rehabilitation. The touristic product should be place identity. The customer should be interested by advantages so that he/she is not only encouraged to arrival but also decides to do it. ...

The potential of immaterial regional culture of rural area of Biała Lądecka Valley

The research problem is the relevance of present immaterial regional culture of rural area of commune of Lądek Zdrój and Stronie Śląskie. The population hitherto being settled in the area had to leave its houses. Historically formed tra-dition's or behavior pattern's resource became their baggage. Only in some cases (but as unknown, new for incoming population) was given up. The analyses con-centrate on determination of ethnic origin of immigrants and resource of new ele-ments of behavioral culture. The results point that up to the fifties the main flow took place from contemporary Ukraine and Małopolskie province. More detailed depiction shows that an area in question is neighborhood of Tarnopol, Stanisła-wów, Lwów and Beskidy mountains. Extensive, non-homogeneous, less important conglomeration of culture was established. Subsequent, very important population flow from ethnically differentiated region (Dolnośląskie province) extended already existing complexity. The effect was the reduction (and later nearly loss) of relevance of culture represented by immigrant population. The region was culturally pauperized and unambiguous identity of the place was minimized. If new structural element (perceived and understood by population) is determined and if it con-solidates society than probably new forms of immaterial culture will be established.     ...

Makroregion eastern sudeten mountains this marginal or peripheral area – attempt of the identification of aspects

An attempt of the answer to a question: whether the contemporary quality and the level of characteristics of communes Lądek Zdrój and Stronie Śląskie is classifying as marginal or peripheral area. When distance is low and distinct de-formations are an effect the territory has features of marginal area. If increasing distance causes the multitude, the relevance and the diversity of problems, when isolating or separating is taking place, when pathological forms are appearing, and downgraded figures are an effect, it is already a level of peripheral area. Distance is a resultant of the availability of the area (possibilities to get in touch), the identity of area and the use and the function of objects. Identified local characteristics of parameters classify the area as marginal one. Further continuation of the current option of the development implies increasing distance and in consequence danger of the location outside the centre. ...

Essence of functionally – utilitarian transformation of boundary villages of Eastern Sudety

Forms of transformations of buildings in boundary villages are object of analysis of commune Lądek Zdrój, administrative district Kłodzko, Lower- Silesian province. First of all, results of direct observation are extremely complicated forms of use. New objects (summer houses) and objects from 1920-30 years, which are used in different manners than original destination, are objects existing on this area. Analyses indicate that summer houses dominate in spatial structure of building of village Orłowiec. There is proof, that current form of village is a hybrid, where on base of village, recreation housing estate is created. Further preferring of such construction (recreation houses) will weaken country tissue. New recreation (summer) houses are situated not far from Lutynia village. Use of object is autonomous, independent on village. In village system there are many different building constructions (matter), which are used in various ways (e.g. objects abandoned, not at all used). Functioning of village is considered as form of lethargy with trend for successive impoverishment. Activating operations are needed on this area. It is thought , that popularization and spreading of tourist routes (e.g. leading to Borówkowa top, or through Czech Republic village) will be enough in first stage of operations. ...

Holiday function in the country - attempt of systematics, new objectives of rural areas

The form of the village cannot be an exogenous variable only of a level and the quality of the farming. Transformations must take place. The polish farming which is very complex and in the regions diversified should be only one of many stimulants of the image of the village. In order to fulfill the challenge the holiday function should develop and intensify. They think that a Wolber [2011] proposal is a solution where the palette of offers is being interpreted as the system and follow-ing subsystems are creating offer: a) stay, b) gastronomy, c) culture the free time and d) events. The system is struck up in three, presentations mutually comple-menting each other. First from them it is a tourism in rural areas, where the rela-tion of formats with rural area is more free and results only from the location of the object; second - rural tourism, for which forms are closely associated with the rural regional culture and third - the farm tourism i.e. the stay, food, spending the leisure time in the agricultural farm. The arrangement doesn't include individual rest carried out in holiday and weekend houses in the country. Analysis is pointing, that lease of the object, this ...

The renaissance, the revitalization or the decline of the border village bielice in the eastern sudeten mountains

A kind and a quality of converting the form of the Bielice village located in the commune Stronie Śląskie, district Kłodzko, Dolnośląskie province are the subject of the research. Analysis of the way of developing and using building substance is a tool. Dissertations are being kept for the state from before year 1945 and the contemporary arrangement. In the end it is stated, that contemporary strictly village, is currently town which is functional already in another dimension, in other space. From a point of view of the attribute of the country settlement or-ganism it is downgraded figure. Features of the rusticity - if still exist - are only vestigial and what's more in the material dimension. In the structure of buildings temporarily inhabited weekend houses dominate. With their figure they are representing the rustic style admittedly, but architectural details already differ from the form of the native construction. Features of the contemporary format of the town are, identical or very similar, to characteristics of the layout of the village Orłowiec, commune Lądek Zdrój, district Kłodzko. ...

Contemporary architecture of building in the context of local style in health resort Lądek Zdrój

Lądek Zdrój is one of the oldest Lower Silesia health-resorts. Historical, economic conditions, restrictions and natural advantages are fundamental factors shaping the peculiar format of the health-resort. In 1945 so far successively shaped identity of the entity was discontinued. The issue is: to what extent implemented new individual components of the building development are amending so far formed architectural forms and functional arrangements. In the post-war period, mainly in 70ties, residential buildings and objects performing the healing function were raised. Detailed analysis is pointing, that body, form, arrangement of newly raised residential objects isn't correlated with historically formed characteristics. It is being proved that a scope of the disagreement is a form of contradictions or even of conflict and the deformation of the landscape inside. Healing objects are a realization, what's more without no significant associations with the local style, of standardized typical solutions. It is stated that by definition it was already decided to introduce strange landscape forms into the local characteristic representing the exaggerated monumentality. ...

The spatial forms of contemporary arrangements of housing and service buildings in Lądek Zdrój

Last before 1945 spatial transforming the municipal part in Lądek Zdrój took place in 1922. . The essence of changes resulted from incorporation the Nieder Thalheim village. In 1945 , identity of the entity , so far successively shaped ,was given up. A question is a problem: to what extent, contemporary spatial forms initiated only at the beginning of 70ties are making rich or distorting the formed figure of area.A land development is an object of deliberations neighboring the main communications artery (Ogrodowa street), linking municipal part from spa, and area of the housing estate of one-family individual houses. Detailed analysis is pointing, that: Ogrodowa street was changed; the area was developed locating multi-occupied residential buildings representing different figures; they applied different, mutually inconsistent spatial concepts. It is pointing, that location of the commercial supermarket "Biedronka" is a distinct symptom of cohesion of the spring and municipal part.A housing estate of the single-family housing are detached buildings laid out in the spatial arrangement radial - belt-shaped. At diversifying forms, a kept certain uniformity of the architectural format stayed. Currently row houses carried out are representing the determined complementary character with the canon of the native style. ...

Citizen participation in greenery’s preservation in the areas other than forest

The article raises the question of problematic aspects of the legal instruments working in Poland. These instru-ments are aimed at preserving the greenery ( trees and shrubs) on terrains different from woodlands by focusing on the citizen participation in greenery's preservation. Proceeding for the obtainment of tree removal permit excludes the citizen participation what by contrast is required in creation acts of the town-and-country planning as greenery's shape regulations. In rural and agricultural landscape the environmental damage caused by felling of trees is especially visible. The citizen participation in decision-making proceedings should guarantee the better resolutions and preclude social conflicts. This article is an attempt to answer the question about the opportunity for citizen participation in polish legal system in the preservation of greenery belonging to rural territories. ...
