Assessment of techniacl infrastructure development and the state of biological construction round water reservoir Domaniów on Radomka river

The content of paper is assessment the technical infrastructure and biological construction state round water reservoir Domaniów. It was found that technical infrastructure round water reservoiris well developed. Made 20 km pipe line water, 30,7 km sewerage to all localities. Built sewage treatmen plant, modernization of water station and same pump stations. Introduced biological construction again abrasion does not give good results. Development trees and shrub was weak and many plants did not live trough by reason of devastation from people and not good soil condition. Therefore biological construction is too little effectives in protection the banks of water reservoir against abrasion. The 2005 year about 150 m (runing metre) was devastated by abrasion. Improvement of the road infrastructure is very need round the water reservoir because their present state is insuitable. According to our observations and researches we think, that the development of technical infrastructure round water reservoir Domaniów is satisfa ctory and biological construction unsatisfactory. ...

Preliminary results of investigations on transformation of organic and biogenic compounds in small water reservoir

The paper contains preliminary results of investigations on transformations of organic and biogenic compounds in small water reservoir. The reservoir Górny Młyn near Końskie (Świętokrzyskie District) located on the Czysta river was chosen as an object of investigations. The bases of analysis were hydrological and chemical investigations covering measurements of water volume inflowing and flowing from the reservoir as well as determination of its chemical composition. The investigations which covered six measurements series were carried out between May and July in the year 2006. The following indicators of pollution were determined in laboratory by means of reference methods in taken samples of water: BOD2, P-PO4, N-NH4, N-NO2 and N-NO3. Hydrometric measurements showed that the main source of alimentation of investigated reservoir is the reservoir Szawelnia located above, from which inflow to the Górny Młyn reservoir fluctuated between 0,003 do 0,120 m3⋅s-1. Taking into account small stream „without name”, the total amount of water inflowing to the reservoit during investigations was on an average 0, 055 m3⋅s-1, while the amount of flowing from the reservoir was on an average 0,051 m3⋅s-1. The crucial influence on quality of water inflowing and flowing from the decanter had concentration of nitrite nitrogen, which several ...

The rebuilding of outflow system in Pińczowski reservoir and it's optimal exploitation for reduction of alluviation processes

In the 70-ties and 80-ties the river training was done in the Nida River. The river itself near Pińczów was shortened and the new channel was created. After the old channel near MOSiR recreational center was widened and deepened, the pińczowski reservoir was build in 1973 and then modernized in 80-ties. On east-southern in the place where in the past was a bridge in Nida River there is a district road running. At present the outflow culvert is localized there from which the water passes to the trapezoidal channel and then to the old channel. Finally the part of the water goes on the wetlands and the rest, below Pińczów, back to the Nida River. The length of the outflow channel is in total about 1.3 km, and the slope varies from 0.16 to 0.37 promiles. The water flows to the reservoir from the river by the side intake and stays there in average of 8 days. The projected retention period is about 5-6 days, and the time estimated on basis of current measurements of morphological, biological and water quality parameters should not exceed 2-3 days. Presently it is not possible because the outflow culvert was done without according to ...

The possibilities of tourist development in the area of the Dobczyce reservoir and Raba river – questionnaire study

The Dobczyce Reservoir on the Raba River makes the main source of drinking water for the city of Krakow. This function requires very good water quality, which consequently limits other functions. The debate whether to allow certain form or recreation has been taking place for a long time. The paper presents the results of the questionnaire among the visitors of the area. People asked about their way of spending time over the reservoir, the most often chose the option “other” (78%), among which the most often was walk (24%). Sunbathing was mentioned by 46%, water bathing by 32% (despite the ban), angling by 18%, and water sports by 12%. The numbers do not sum up to 100, because the visitors could choose more than one option. 68% respondents regarded the cleanness of water as very good, good or rather good. The management in the area was assessed much worse: 66% regarded it rather unsatisfactory or unsatisfactory. ...

The forecast of the influence of damming up in reservoir Świnna Poręba on the position of underground waters level on the terrain of the locality Zembrzyce

Damming up in the river channel caused by the dam on the underground waters then, when the hydraulic relationship of superficial waters and underground waters exists. The study of the forecast of the influence of damming up the river waters on adjoining areas consists in the qualification of the position of the underground water level. The tests of the appraisal of the position of the ground water level on the terrain of locality Zembrzyce in the case of damming up the water in the reservoir to the ordinate 312 m a.s.l were executed. Distribution of the filtration area is extremely difficult in spite quite good distinguishing the hydro-geological conditions of the analysed area. The locality Zembrzyce is in fork of two water - courses: river Skawa and her tributary the stream Paleczka. Location of Zembrzyce in these fork of two rivers creates complicated hydro-geological conditions resulting from the interaction of superficial water - courses on the adjoining area. On the studied area the zone of the influence of the change of the water level in river Skawa and stream Paleczka on the level of the ground waters was marked. Applying the hydrological method the change of the position of the ...

The usability of water reservoir was estimated by com-parision of the water indicators with the limit values characterizing water suitable for swimming. The study revealed that waters flowing into the Komorów reservoir, due to the nitrate values exeeds limit values for 1st class waters. Water temperature, dis-solved oxygen, electrolitical conductivity and reaction values classify it as 1st class waters. Waters flowing out of ...

The silting forecast of water reservoirs at Brzóza Stadnicka and at Brzóza Królewska

The work aimed at the determination of the silting degree and the silting forecast for water reservoirs at Brzóza Stadnicka and at Brzóza Królewska, which are situated on hydrologically uncontrolled Tarlaka stream. The analysis took into account the influence of upper reservoir - Brzóza Stadnicka - on the amount of se-diment flowing into the lower reservoir - Brzóza Królewska. The analysis of the silting process was carried out in three variants. The first one concerns to the Brzóza Stadnicka reservoir, the second to the Brzóza Królewska reservoir, without taking into consideration the upper reservoir, and the third variant took into ac-count the influence of the upper reservoir on the lower one. It was stated that stu-died small water reservoirs were characterized relatively low values of the sediment trap efficiency what causes extension of their useful life. Sediment trap efficiency of Brzóza Stadnicka reservoir determined on the basis of the balance of the volume of sediment delivered and deposited in this reservoir is carried out 27.9%. The somewhat higher value βrz = 38.7% the Brzóza Królewska reservoir is characterizes. It was also stated that the upper reservoir of the cascade had the in-significant impact on decrease of the silting intensity ...
