DETERMINING THE COURSE OF BOUNDARIES BASED ON POINTS SHARED BY SEVERAL PROPERTIES AND ENTERING THIS DATA INTO THE REGISTER OF LAND AND BUILDINGS

This research paper is a continuation of the previous study presenting the results of the research carried out by the Author on determining the course of boundaries of cadastral parcels and entering this data into thedatabase of the register of land and buildings. The visibly higher level of legal consciousness of the society observed since the Third Polish Republic was founded, associated with rising values of real properties (especially those intended for residential development) has increased the expectations and requirements of property owners towards the reliability of the data contained in the register of land and buildings, relating to the location and course of property boundaries. The Author of this research paper describes and analyzes the issues of determining boundaries of cadastral parcels, primarily with regard to the public register - the one which is absolutely essential for the Polish state - the register of land and buildings. The basic element of the land register survey is a computerized cadastral database. This database contains the results of proceedings and procedures for establishing the course of boundaries. Also, other public registers and individual users, including property owners and contractors of surveying works, use the data stored in this database. The Author ...

THE INFLUENCE OF PROPER VINE PRUNING TECHNIQUES ON CROP FORMATION AND QUALITY OF THE GRAPES

We have established the importance of proper vine pruning techniques depending on individual grape variety characteristics and its influence on crop formation and quality of the grapes. The technique of studying the influence of the length of the vine pruning on the qualitative indices of the fruit of the grapes has been proposed. Field research was carried out in 2014-2016. Agricultural technology in the experiment is commonly used for forest-steppe. The vines are planted on the plot without irrigation, the shape of the shrubs is harp multy sleeved with a knot of substitution, sheltered on a vertical trellis of 1.5 m heigh. The methods thatcan be used to increase the yield of grape varieties in the Poltava region (Ukraine) have been analyzed. It has been established that the coefficient of fructification of apical buds predominantly correlates with the actualyield, which allows to use this link to predict yields by grape varieties. The justification and characterization of the selected methods of vine pruning, which would ensure the obtaining of high sustainable yield and fruit quality, as well as the economic efficiency of growing grapes, have been given. ...

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MACRO – AND MICROELEMENTS IN BENTHIC SEDIMENTS OF SELECTED MID-FIELD PONDS

The agricultural landscape of Western Pomerania is characterised by frequent occurrence of small, post-glacial water ponds commonly called mid-field ponds. They serve numerous important functions, bothwith regard to agriculture and ecology. Due to their specific location in the agricultural landscape, they are exposed to permanent and strong anthropic pressure, which often translates into pollution of surface waterand benthic sediments with macro-and microelements. This study attempts to assess and determine the level of macro - and microelements in benthic sediments, depending on the type of agricultural production,on the example of selected mid-field ponds. The assessed benthic sediments of both ponds were characterised by varied macro - and microelement levels, depending on the collection site and the depth of their deposition. Based on the performed chemical analyses it was found that both observation points in the pond Żelisławiec were characterised by the highest concentrations occurring in the top layer (0-5 cm), which isrelated to the fact that there are areas of agriculture in the pond basin with the use of mineral and organic fertilisation and occurrence of higher water erosion. And the other assessed mid-field pond (Stare Czarnowo)showed the highest concentration of microelements in the middle layer, 5-15 cm. Statistical analyses revealed ...

THE INFLUENCE OF THERMO-MODERNIZATION ON THE LOW-STACK EMISSION REDUCTION – A CASE STUDY OF A SINGLE-FAMILY HOUSE

In the article, technical and ecological analyses of thermo-modernization of a single-family house located in Kraków and the adaptation of the building to the current regulations were made. The parameters of the energy performance of the building before and after thermo-modernization were presented. For calculating the U-factor of building partitions and the heat demand for the building, the Sankom Audytor HL (OZC) software was employed. The Sankom Audytor ECO 1.0 software was utilized to calculate ecological assessment. In the case of existing buildings subject to thermo-modernization, it is practically challenging to provide a building with a level considered to be energy efficient without introducing additional system solutions in the building's internalinstallations as well as using highly efficient renewable energy sources. Due to the constantly growing requirements of the Technical Conditions in the area of limiting the consumption of heat carriers andreducing the U coefficient, thermo-modernization is one of the most important stages of decreasing the building's demand for primary energy. ...

THE STUDIES ON CHECK DAM RESTORATION EFFECTIVENESS

A check dam is a hydraulic structure, which is constructed in order to limit river sediment transport. A sedimentation reservoir is created upstream from the body of the dam, where river sediment is constantlyaccumulated. These structures were constructed starting in the early 20th century in upstream parts of mountain streams in the Polish part of the Carpathian Mountains. At present, the reservoirs of most check dams are already fully filled with sediment and the impact of these structures on the ecosystems of streams is unfavorable. Moreover, the dams that have not been renovated are in poor technical condition. In the paper two cases of check dam lowering and restored is discussed and the one hypothetical case of gradual check dam lowering is presented and discussed as well. The cases of Krzczonówka and Trzebuńka, where the method ofremoving sediment from reservoirs was different, showed that the sudden change of „established" hydrodynamic conditions for decades is not favorable for the stream. The results of hypothetic simulation of gradual check dam lowering for the case of Isepnica Stream leads to the conclusion that lowering the construction of check dam and removing sediment from its reservoir in a way that does not have a ...

DENSIFICATION BEHAVIOUR OF CAROB POWDER

The behaviour of carob (Ceratonia siliqua L.) powder relevant to its densification at low pressure was determined given different equipment aspect ratios (0.5, 1.0 and 1.5) and varying rates of deformation (5.5, 10 and 14.5 mm min-1). The effects of both parameters were examined through the analysis of variance and trends were fitted to observed mechanical responses using standard regression technique. Both aspect ratio and the time rate of deformation had highly significant effects on the material's response to load. Strain rate and specific power requirement were power functions of the equipment's aspect ratio, at all rates of deformation. These findings furnish insights on mechanical response in compressed food powders which are applicable in modelling related food handling and processing systems. ...
