Premisess for analysis of forest site quality dynamics based on tree stand height estimation

The study revealed that the role of women in leading agro-tourism services is significant. They are mainly responsible for handling tourists and spend the most time (an average of 7 hours during the holiday and the holiday season, and four hours in low season). Their role is, among others for preparing meals, taking care of cleanliness of common areas and to establish interpersonal relationships with people staying on holiday. Studies have shown that rural women use their abilities, talents and skills to build the agrotourism product. Their favorable age structure and education levels translate to put innovative ideas on the farm. The results of the analysis revealed the problems that women have to deal with when they start agrotourism (eg. lack of acceptance as to the activities undertaken in the part of husbands, parents and children). The study revealed that between 2005 and 2013, more and more families began to receive visitors in their farms and sought an additional source of income in non-agricultural activities. And although within the eight-year time period there has not been a large increase in the number of agritourist farms (61), it is necessary to monitor changes in this area. It is especially important, because the largest increase was recorded in the areas of lower natural environment values (85), and a decrease in areas with high natural potential (24). Currently there are 350 agritourist farms in the rural area of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian province but their offer is really varied. Among the most frequently offered services were: a barbecue (97.7%) and a playground for children (67.7%). Possibility of putting up a tent (79.4%) or coming with animals (68.3%) were pointed out as often as a possibility to hire bicycles (60.8%). Services that require a huge financial commitment (swimming pool, sauna, gym, tennis court) have been reported to a much lesser extent. 57.4% of the examined rural households offer home made meals. Analysis of the distance between places important to tourists and agritourism farms in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodeship

Ten important places for tourists in terms of quality rest (forest, lake, river, bus and railway communication, grocery store, a restaurant, a pharmacy, a medical station, post office, ATM) were analyzed. The study showed that their distances from the agritourism farms are satisfactory. In 346 cases, the answers on the location of the selected elements of social infrastructure were given, and in 195 - on the qualities of natural surroundings (forest, lakes or rivers). It was noted that from the point of view of the organize of various recreational activities, preferred aspect was the location in a short distance from the lodgings body of water and wooded areas. There were 50 farms located near the forest and 30 - in the immediate vicinity of the lake. Number of farms from which these two qualities were on the stretch just up to 100 m - respectively 68 (forest) and 53 (the lake). The costs of stay in agritorism farms on a Kujavian-Pomeranian village

The study revealed that the average price for stay on an agritourism farm on Kuyavian-Pomeranian village is not excessive and amounts to 46,84 zł for 24 hours. Highest costs per stay tourists bear in the district Sępólno (75.35 zł), and the lowest in the district Grudziadz. Due to the fact that the hosts served a large span of price ranges (from a dozen to a few hundred złotych) it has been calculated that the average maximum price is formed in the region at the level of 60.81 zł, and the average minimum price in the range 31,45 zł. Only 25.4% of all households have communicated what parts of the agritourism product (except overnight) are within the maximum price, namely the full board of attractions, attractions themselves, or just eating. It can be said that the majority of providers do not show their creativity and initiative in better presentation of their agritourism product on the web portal. The survey which was supposed to provide information on popularity of rural holiday destinations among the academic youth has revealed that rural areas are most willingly visited by students who come from cities (49.3%). The locations most frequently chosen by the respondents included: the Baltic coast, Helski Peninsula, Kujawy and Kaszuby Region. It was also observed that male students are more willing than female students to spend holidays outside towns (54.6%). The recreational activities indicated by the respondents who chose to spend their free time in the village were mainly cycling and hiking (34.3% vs 28.4%). Another form of activity was sightseeing (32.3%), and kayaking (30.4%). People who declared to have spent their holiday time in the country were more often involved in sailing (mainly men - 66.6%) and rowing (mainly women - 54.5%) sunbathing and diving (7.8%) than those who chose to go to the city. Students are regarded to be an active and important group of tourists who tend to visit the village even two times a year and stay there for longer periods of time (even 8 - 14 days).
